Queenstown Road Station

South Western Rail are currently consulting on a plan to cut the number of trains stopping at Queenstown Road station from an average of seven and hour to only four. Our local stations are already incredibly stretched and as new developments are built this pressure will increase.

Don’t reduce trains at our station!! At least not during the peak hours! Trains are already too crowded when they stop at Queenstown road, if the number of the trains will be reduced it will be impossible for all of us to travel to the city hence to live in this area! There are no other options for us, there’s no subway in Battersea and buses are already too packed.

    That’s not fair !

Shame on the people who want this to happen! Shame ! Shame! You have increased also the price of the travel card with the new year, what do we pay these 130£ for? Is this the service provided at this cost?

Nice way to steal money out of our pocket.

    Shame on all of you!

There are a number of workplaces based near Queenstown Road station and reducing the number of trains would significantly affect employees’ ability to travel to/from work (especially given how frequently the services are disrupted). It would also affect the ability of these organisations to hold meetings with external visitors. Basing a business here is already a risk in some ways, and reducing the number of trains would be another reason to reconsider doing so, with negative effects for the local economy.

The train status with Southern, which is the main provider for south London, is already painful for commuters that I do not see how the situation could be improved by reducing the number of trains. I do not think this is a good idea at all and whoever came up with this idea is definitely not among the ones having to stand in the cold waiting for a train on a platform.
